MTV Video Music Awards 2007 Nominiees
Cada año son peores los nominados a los MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS y lo peor de todo la importancia a categorías como BEST VIDEO ROCK es nula, esta vez ni siquiera aparece en la página principal de dicho evento, sin embargo la música basura reina con siete nominaciones que colocan a Justin Timberlake y Beyoncé Knowles como los favoritos en los premios MTV Video Music Awards que tendrá lugar el próximo 9 de septiembre en Las Vegas. El videoclip What goes around comes around del cantante opta a llevarse la estatuilla, entre otras categorías, al Mejor Video del Año, Mejor Director y Mejor Artista. Por su parte la espectacular Beyoncé compite con dos videos musicales, Irreplaceable y Beautiful Liar, en el que muestra su faceta más sensual junto a Shakira, con los que está nominada en las categorías del Mejor Vídeo del año, Mejor Coreografía, Mejor Edición, Mejor Dirección y Mejor Artista femenina. No sorprende a nadie que estos dos artistas lideren estos premios ya que están en lo más alto del panorama musical y cuentan con una infinidad de galardones en su haber.
Tras Justin y Beyoncé se encuentran en el ranking la joven Rihanna y Kanye West con cinco nominaciones cada uno. A tres premios opta la cantante británica Amy Winehouse, una de las cantantes de soul revelación de los últimos años, al de Mejor Video, Mejor Artista Nuevo y Mejor Artista Femenina. El ganador del premio al Artista Revelación será elegido por el público que pueden votar a través de Internet. Este año también habrá una nueva categoría: el premio quadruple threat por el que compiten Beyoncé, Jay-z, Timberlake, U2 y West, y que "honra a aquellos artistas que han conquistado diversos mundos, entre ellos la música, moda, filantropía, negocios, actuación y danza”. Por el momento han confirmado su actuación en la gala Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Amy Winehouse, Fall Out Boy, Lily Allen y Foo Fighters.Video of the Year
